Adventure Awaits.
Classical

I began to study classical music in 2017 when I first applied to Solo and Ensemble at the recommendation of my choir teacher, Jacob Steinberger. I instantly fell in love, and made studying this genre of music my primary goal. Since then, I have trained with multiple instructors and taken every opportunity that presented itself to breach the gates of the world of opera.
Musicals

Musical Theatre was what taught me to love performing. Ever since the age of 14, when my move to Oregon made performance possible for me, I ensured that I was always busy with a show, rain shine or snow! Some of my favorite roles have been Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd and Madam Thernatdier in Les Miserables.
Theatre

Straight plays were something I never thought I would enjoy when I was younger, but the stage continued to call for me. When I tried non-musical acting for the first time in my sophomore year as Mrs.Boyle in Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, I was instantly hooked. I also discovered my love for comedic acting when I was fortunate enough to play Puck in A Midsummer Night’s dream, changing the way I saw the stage forever.
work
Churchill
At 14 Emily stepped in as a principle in Sweeney Todd. From that point on she was in every Churchill production.
Training

I have been fortunate enough to take voice lessons with Marcee Long and Marie Landreth
The Shedd
At The Shedd, I participated in the Musical Theatre Training Academy twice, both times receiving merit scholarships.
To know the arts is to know that you cannot live without the arts. Wherever you go, they follow. I am eternally grateful that I have welcomed the arts into my life and thus made it richer.
Directing
On two occasions I have directed one act plays. One, a comedic straight play, “13 Ways To Screw Up Your College Interview” and Two “Murder Be Thy Name” a dramatic musical of my own writing with music by American Murder Song. Directing gave me a new perspective on performing, and also taught me how to be easier to work with for my directors.
Composing
Through my study of performing music, I have also discovered that I also love to write music! I have written a piece for a string quartet which I was lucky enough to see performed, and I have adapted original and non-original poems into SATB choral pieces.
